The Kindergarten Team
I have been teaching at Leigh School for a number of years now. I love Leigh School and all of its students! I graduated from the University of Illinois with my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and I have a Masters Degree in Reading from Northeastern Illinois University. My husband, Dave and I have a 15-year-old daughter named Megan who will be having her share of fun as a sophomore in high school this school year. We live in Lombard with our beagle named Peyton and enjoy spending time together as a family.
This will be my third year as a kindergarten teacher, but my fourth year at Leigh School! I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May of 2014 with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Last summer I went back to school to get my Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (special education endorsement). This summer I started a Dual Endorsement Masters at National Louis University in English as a Second Language (ESL) and Reading. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love live music, reading in my hammock, and exploring the city.
